Young Professionals Restoring Their City

Nairobi, the Green City Under the Sun, remains as one of the few Cities in the world that has an Animal park at the heart of the city while still being one of the fastest growing Tech hubs in Africa.

As the capital city and economic hub of Kenya. Nairobi is uniquely positioned to impact Kenya, East Africa, and Africa in general. With Kenya’s population estimated at 47.5 Million people where 75.1% of the population are below the age of 35, it just goes to show the largely young population this Country has; and more so the potential Christians within Nairobi have to influence because the predominant religion is Christianity as 85.5% of the population identify as Christian.

However, the Narrative about this beautiful city is not always positive with headlines being occupied with corruption and integrity struggles. Statistics from Transparency International show that Kenya scored 31/100 on the Corruption Perception Index and was ranked 121 out of the total 180 countries.

But there is a generation of young Christian professionals who are emerging and seeking to change this narrative positively and change the lives of the amazing people in this city by redeeming it socially, economically, and systemically for God. And this is where Resource Global comes in.

Why Nairobi?

Our Vision as Resource Global Nairobi is to see our Christian marketplace leaders understand their God given mandate and utilize their positions of influence to transform this city for the greater glory of God through. We believe that through our cohort program, and the initiatives that come from this, we will begin to see a city where justice is available for everyone but not just the rich. A city where systems work and are not hampered by corruption, where the rate of joblessness and corruption significantly reduce because Christians are equipped on how to live out their Christianity in the different sectors they operate in be that business, politics, governance, corporate positions and more.
