Obakeng was a student leader for a discipleship focused ministry called Campus Outreach (CO) for four years and then worked for CO for four years straight after university. Since 2018, he’s been a founder and director of a travel business called Afrika Dumela in Johannesburg.

Obakeng enjoys connecting monthly with a few young professional men in Johannesburg to sharpen each other on their individual and collective journey of emotional health called Kota Sunday. They’ve been meeting on Sunday for lunch over a Kota since 2022.
